Notifications

Email

Noeto sends you two kinds of email about activity:

  • A card was assigned to you — by someone else. Assigning a card to yourself does not email you about it.
  • Someone commented on a card you are on — a card assigned to you, or a thread you have already written in.

Both are switches in Settings → Email notifications, and they are independent.

Turning both off does not silence Noeto entirely. Invitations and changes to your role are always sent, because they are about your access rather than about activity — being quietly added to or removed from something is worse than an email you did not want.

Push notifications on a phone

Push reaches a phone that is not sitting open on a board. It needs the installed app — see Noeto on your phone — and your permission, which the phone asks for the first time you turn it on.

Push is a property of the device, not of the account: turning it on for your phone does nothing to your tablet, and each one asks separately.

Nothing else

There is no daily digest, no weekly summary, and no “activity” email. If you did not get a message about something, nothing tried to send you one.
